Auditions upcoming for youth production of ‘Aladdin Jr.’ at new community theater
Press release from 2nd Act Productions
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – 2nd Act Productions, a brand-new nonprofit community theater organization based in Alachua County, is excited to announce auditions for Aladdin Jr., taking place on March 1st from 12:30 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. at the Tower Road Library Branch. Auditions are open to all youth ages 6–18, regardless of experience. This is an incredible opportunity for young performers to step into the world of community theater, develop their craft, and work alongside peers from diverse backgrounds. Theater helps students build confidence, express themselves, and develop teamwork skills in a supportive environment.
As a new organization, 2nd Act Productions is thrilled to partner with local organizations such as the Tower Road Library, the Shrine Club, and Grace at Fort Clarke to bring productions and programs to life while it works toward securing a permanent location. The organization’s goal is to establish a lasting home for the arts in our community and to make live theater an engaging and meaningful experience for everyone.
Nathan Wynn, a 15-year-old high school student at P.K. Yonge with a deep passion for the arts, will be directing Aladdin Jr., the first-ever production of 2nd Act Productions.
