August 16 Alachua County Commission Special Budget Meeting

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – The Alachua County Commission will conduct two Special Budget Meetings on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, Gainesville) in the Grace Knight Conference Room. The morning meeting begins at 10 a.m., and the afternoon meeting begins at 1:30 p.m.

Masks for vulnerable citizens are strongly recommended. The public may view the meetings on Cox Channel 12 and the County’s Video on Demand website.

In-person public comment will be taken for the agenda items and the public will also have an opportunity to speak about items not on the agendas. Members of the public who wish to speak are asked to limit their comments to three minutes.

10 a.m. meeting items of interest:

• FY23 Budget Development – Community Support Services, Court Services, Animal Resources and Care, Office of Sustainability, Equity, Economic and Strategic Development (SEEDS), and Code Enforcement

• FY23 Budget Development – FTE- staffing charts and schedule of fees and Capital Improvement Plan, budget, millage, tax rates, assessments finalized
