Aunt Rosa’s and Mrs. Catherine’s Food Pantry to be dedicated on March 8

Press release from Aunt Rosa’s and Mrs. Catherine’s Food Pantry

ELLISVILLE, Fla. – Aunt Rosa’s and Mrs. Catherine’s Food Pantry will hold a dedication service on Saturday, March 8, at 11:00 a.m. A meal and music will follow the dedication.

This pantry is the newest in Columbia County and is named in honor of Mrs. Rosa McPhail and Mrs. Catherine Thomas Dicks, two women who gave selflessly to others throughout their lives. Their legacy will live on through the good works of the pantry located at 12518 S. U.S. 441 in Ellisville across from Fire Station #45.

The pantry held its first food giveaway February 1, serving over 250 people, and the next drive-thru giveaway is scheduled for Saturday, March 1, beginning at 9:00 a.m. One in five people go to bed without supper every night, and the mission of this pantry is to help alleviate that hunger in our area.
