GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Veteran NYC bassist Michael Feinberg (Jon Batiste, Knower, Dave Liebman) joins forces with GRAMMY winning drummer Thomas Pridgen (Mars Volta, Thundercat, Residente) and keyboardist Eitan Kenner (Ropeadope Records) to create a unique sound taking influence from jazz, funk, rock, hip hop, soul, house, and global beats. Get excited for the spirit of P Funk, the energy of John Bonham, the harmonies of Herbie Hancock, and the exploration of Weather Report.
Local favorite Dionysus opens the show. Dionysus emerged from the pursuit of a unique musical experience. Versatile, with effortless and full-bodied tone, they bring not only crowds to a frenzy but can tickle the minds of the musically adept. At the forefront of the north Florida modern fusion scene, their music takes the listener on a genre-bending journey through time and space. They deliver a combination of jazz, house, funk, and hip-hop.
