Bread of the Mighty launches second annual ornament campaign

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Bread of the Mighty, a branch of Feeding Northeast Florida (FNEFL), has officially launched its second annual holiday ornament campaign in commemoration of World Food Day. Now through December 5, friends of the food bank can claim their limited edition “Ugly Sweater” themed 2025 ornament to commemorate all the hard work FNEFL does all year. 

While the holidays are the most wonderful time of the year, they often center around a big meal. For the more than 272,000 individuals in our northeast Florida community facing food insecurity, creating a special meal often falls outside of family’s monthly budgets –– and that’s where Feeding Northeast Florida steps in. The food bank stands in the gap for those who find themselves in need both this time of year, and every day. In addition to opportunities to volunteer or donate, FNEFL is inviting the community to get involved in a more simplified way –– by donating directly and receiving a one-of-a-kind ornament to sponsor a family in need. 

The ornaments are crafted in-house and make a perfect gift this holiday season! The limited edition keepsake serves a beautiful purpose –– uniting families to fight food insecurity in our community. For a $30 donation, you can help provide everything a local family needs to enjoy a complete Thanksgiving meal –– turkey, sides, and all the trimmings! –– and bring home this year’s collectible ornament as a reminder of the difference you’ve made.

Ornaments are available through December 5 and can be requested through the food bank’s website for a donation of $30.
