Bread of the Mighty serves over 600 local families in turkey distribution

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Last weekend, Bread of the Mighty, a branch of Feeding Northeast Florida (FNEFL) hosted its second annual Harvest Helpings food distribution in Gainesville. The distribution concluded the annual initiative, which serves all 12 counties in the FNEFL food bank service area. 

Presented by Morgan & Morgan, the distribution:

• Served more than 600 local individuals and families in need;
• Distributed turkeys, fresh produce, and essential holiday items in time for the Thanksgiving holiday;
• Brought together more than 40 volunteers from Bread of the Mighty, Morgan & Morgan, and student athletes from the University of Florida Softball and Gymnastics teams.

Across all 12 counties served by the food bank, the initiative distributed nearly 5,000 total turkeys.
