Assistant State Attorney Brian Kramer has announced his candidacy for State Attorney. “For two decades I’ve dedicated my life to keeping our communities safe,” said Kramer. “As State Attorney, I’ll be a voice for victims and their families. Together, we can continue the good work already being done in the State Attorney’s Office, working with law enforcement to fight crime and protect our most vulnerable.”
Brian Kramer was raised in Gainesville, Florida. Kramer is currently the Executive Director of the Office of the State Attorney, 8th Judicial Circuit and Assistant State Attorney, entrusted to review and prosecute the most serious criminal cases. Kramer decided to run after State Attorney Bill Cervone announced that he would retire after his current term expires.
Brian lives in Gainesville with his wife, Annette, and they have two daughters: Cassidy, who attends the University of Florida, and Hailey, who attends Oak Hall School.
