“Caring for those who cared for us” event to be held on Sept. 19

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Community Hospice & Palliative Care, Santa Fe College, and Gainesville Black Professionals are hosting the “Caring For Those Who Cared For Us” event at the northwest campus of Santa Fe College on September 19.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Caring for the Caregiver: Learn about the importance of supporting and caring for those who dedicate their lives to caring for others.
  • Advance Care Planning: Understand the significance of planning ahead for healthcare decisions, ensuring that your loved ones’ wishes are respected.
  • Pre-Planning: With Bernard Phillip II, Founder and President of Phillip & Sons, The Funeral Directors, Inc.
  • Hospice vs. Palliative Care: Explore the differences between hospice and palliative care, and how each can provide comfort and support to individuals and their families.
  • Question and Answer Session: Engage with our expert panel and get your questions answered regarding caregiving, advance care planning, and end-of-life care. 

The event will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 4:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Santa Fe College Building R, Room 01, 3000 NW 83rd Street.
