Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen is now open in Butler Plaza

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen celebrated its grand opening today with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Greater Gainesville Chamber, marking the restaurant’s highly anticipated debut at Butler Shopping Center.

“This location will be the largest Cheddar’s location in company history”, says Jared Willett, Hospitality Manager of Cheddar’s Gainesville Location. Now open at 3989 Plaza Boulevard in the former Bahama Breeze location, the newly renovated 7,900-square-foot restaurant brings fresh new energy to Gainesville’s dining scene just in time for post-graduation celebrations, football weekends, family gatherings, and all life’s moments.

The restaurant is known nationwide for it’s made-from-scratch comfort food, generous portions, and classic American favorites, including homemade chicken pot pie, hand-breaded chicken tenders, slow-smoked baby back ribs, and its signature honey butter croissants.

Today’s ribbon-cutting with the Greater Gainesville Chamber welcomed community leaders, local supporters, and excited guests eager to experience Gainesville’s newest Gator Nation restaurant destination.

As part of the Darden restaurant family, Cheddar’s brings a beloved dining brand to one of Gainesville’s busiest retail and dining areas, adding another major addition to the continued growth of Butler Shopping Center.
