Children’s Trust of Alachua County to Invest in Sponsorships of Community-Based Events

Press release from Children’s Trust of Alachua County

The Children’s Trust of Alachua County allocated $300,000.00 for Fiscal Year 2021 towards matching funds requests.

“The Trust’s goal is to maximize Federal, State, and private revenue opportunities to bring new resources to Alachua County that benefit the children and families in our community,” explained Colin Murphy, executive director of the Children’s Trust of Alachua County.

Agencies applying for matching funds must bring new funds to Alachua County. Matching funds provided by the Trust cannot simply replace an existing match or matching local dollars that already exist in the community. The matching fund requests can come from public agencies and private, non-profit organizations that are designated as 501(c)(3).

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis through August 31, 2021. The Board of the Children’s Trust will approve the matching fund requests that best match the application criteria. Applications and more information can be found here: https://www.childrenstrustofalachuacounty.us/rfps.

Requests will be considered to the extent that they address the issues in the Children’s Trust of Alachua County’s strategic funding plan:

  • All children are born healthy and remain healthy
  • All children can learn what they need to be successful
  • All children have nurturing, supportive caregivers and relationships
  • All children live in a safe community

The Children’s Trust of Alachua County provides children’s services throughout Alachua County.
