City of Gainesville Holiday Schedule

In observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, city offices will be closed Thursday-Friday, Dec. 23-24, and Friday, Dec. 31.

The Regional Transit System (RTS) will provide reduced service Dec. 18-23 and Dec. 26-31 (reduced service is indicated on schedules with an “R” in the far right column under each route direction column section), no service on Dec. 25, and holiday service, which runs between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., to routes 1, 2, 5, 8, 10, 13, 15, 16, 20, 26, 35, 43, 75, and 711, on Dec. 24. Residential curbside collection for garbage, recycling and yard trash will not be affected by the holidays.
