City of Gainesville observes Thanksgiving holiday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In observance of Thanksgiving, City offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27-Friday, Nov. 28.

The city’s Regional Transit System (RTS) will operate on reduced service from Monday, Nov. 24-Wednesday, Nov. 26. No bus service is scheduled on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 27) or Black Friday (Nov. 28). Santa Fe College will have regular service Monday, Nov. 24 and Tuesday, Nov. 25. Please visit the RTS website and schedule pages for more information.

Residential curbside collection for garbage, recycling and yard trash will not be picked up on Thursday, but will be picked up on Friday.
