Community Hospice & Palliative Care Celebrates National Volunteer Month

Press release from Community Hospice & Palliative Care

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – April is National Volunteer Month, and Community Hospice & Palliative Care is dedicated to promoting and celebrating volunteerism. Volunteers are diverse and special members of the community, offering companionship and a listening ear to patients and family members.

Throughout the month, the volunteer department will be highlighting individual volunteers and their stories through social media channels. A volunteer appreciation celebration will be held at the Best Western Gateway Grand Hotel, where attendees will enjoy a luncheon with a message of appreciation from our leadership team.

“Our Community Hospice volunteers are such an important part of our team,” said Billie Dodd, Regional Director.  “We appreciate our volunteers, as they have a calling and a heart to support this compassionate mission. Their heartfelt work and dedication are humbling.”

Community Hospice & Palliative Care has over 500 volunteers who bring their many talents and educational backgrounds to help make a difference in the community.
