Community Hospice & Palliative Care unveils Annual Report

Press release from Community Hospice & Palliative Care

The Community Hospice & Palliative Care Annual Report titled “Our Mission of Compassion” is now available for viewing. This yearly publication is a comprehensive review of the organization’s history, programs, services, and support from the 2020 fiscal year.

Celebrating the mission, vision, and values was a gratifying experience for Community Hospice & Palliative Care. This gave the organization the opportunity to reflect on the pandemic, how the staff and volunteers came together to evaluate needs, look to the future, and, most importantly, remember the patients and families they had the honor of serving.

The book highlights what started out as a regular year, until our world was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It highlights the generous nature of our community and how they came together to help us continue providing the compassionate care for patients and families facing advanced illness and end of life. There are also stories of innovative ways our teams were able to bring families and loved ones together during an unprecedented time.

“The strength of being a part of a community is clearly seen when we are challenged by unforeseen circumstances like the pandemic of 2020,” said Phillip Ward, President and CEO of Community Hospice & Palliative Care. “You will see that strength displayed by the people who continued to provide care in the midst of these difficult times. I am honored to lead such a wonderful organization as Community Hospice & Palliative Care.”

In addition to working through the pandemic, the annual report highlights many of the new programs and services Community Hospice & Palliative Care developed over the year to care for more patients in their time of need.
