Community workshop for T.B. McPherson renovation to be held on Thursday, April 9

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The City of Gainesville is holding a second Community Workshop to gather input regarding planned improvements at the T.B. McPherson Recreation Complex, located at 1717 SE 15th St. The workshop will be held on Thursday, April 9, 6-7:30 p.m., at the T.B. McPherson Center.

Share your perspective by attending our second community workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to:

• Hear a presentation on the proposed building renovations and site improvements, informed by feedback from the first community workshop and survey
• Provide input on draft conceptual plans to help refine the final building design and site master plan

About the project

The T.B. McPherson Recreation Complex is a 15-acre community park in southeast Gainesville featuring a recreation center, pool, courts, ball fields, playground, trails, picnic areas, fitness stations and parking.

This project is a planning effort to renovate the T.B. McPherson Recreation Center and shape a 10-year vision for the surrounding park. Design and construction of the recreation center renovation is expected to begin following completion of the master planning process.
