Cox Communications invites local nonprofits to apply for Cox Charities grants

Press release from Cox Communications

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Cox Communications is excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 Cox Charities Community Investment Grants. Local nonprofit organizations across Central Florida are encouraged to apply by Monday, March 2, 2026, at www.coxcharitieseast.org

Each year, Cox employees contribute to Cox Charities through recurring payroll donations and one-time gifts. These employee-driven funds are then awarded annually to nonprofits that support key focus areas, including:

  • Youth innovation programs centered in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM)
  • Conservation and environmental sustainability initiatives
  • Efforts advancing equal opportunity

These grants complement the ongoing sponsorship support Cox provides to Central Florida nonprofits throughout the year.

“What makes these grants special is that they are both employee-funded and awarded based on selections made by an employee committee,” said Aimee Pfannenstiel, market vice president of Cox Central Florida. “The significant impact of Cox Charities reflects the dedication to our communities and the strong partnerships we’ve established with local nonprofits.”

Through Cox Charities, employees help strengthen local communities and support the next generation in leading happier, more connected, and more sustainable lives.

Nonprofits doing impactful work in STEAM education, advancing equal opportunity, or sustainability are encouraged to apply before the March 2 deadline. To learn more or submit an application, visit www.coxcharitieseast.org.
