Cox crews mobilized to reconnect Central Florida
Press release from Cox Communications
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Cox has mobilized its employees with support from outside of the Central Florida market to begin assessing damage and restoring service outages caused by Hurricane Helene. In times like this, we understand it is important to stay connected and we want our services to help you do that.
“Our thoughts are with our neighbors in the Central Florida communities impacted by Hurricane Helene, and we will not rest until all of the service area is reconnected,” said Aimee Pfannenstiel, market vice president of Cox Central Florida. “We’re working hard to restore any impacted services, with the safety of our employees and customers in mind.”
The Cox Retail Stores on SW 35th Boulevard in Gainesville and on SW 27th Avenue in Ocala will open normal hours today, but the new store on NW 43rd Street in Gainesville is currently without power and will reopen once power is restored. For information on the store closures and other updates please visit cox.com.
“We’ll work closely with other utility crews to ensure all customers are reconnected to their Cox services as soon as possible,” said Pfannenstiel.
