Crews respond to multiple brush fires

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – On February 9, crews from Alachua County Fire Rescue, High Springs Fire Department, and Town of Lacrosse Fire Department responded to four fires within a two-hour period.

One fire off of County Road 239, shown above, started as a brush fire and completely destroyed an RV. The fire was contained to 3.25 acres, and crews saved a second RV, a vehicle, and a shed on the property. Click here for video of the fire.

A mandatory burn ban is in effect in Alachua County.
