Dance Alive invites supporters to the Topping Out Ceremony for the Khoury Family Center for the Arts

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – It has long been a dream that Dance Alive National Ballet would have a home — a venue that would serve the Arts in our amazing community.
At 3:30 p.m. on February 25th, we will observe a time-honored tradition in construction, the Topping Out Ceremony, to mark a major milestone – the completion of a project’s structural phase.
Join us as we celebrate this significant achievement!
Come see the progress, meet the dancers, and enjoy some light refreshments.
The Khoury Family Center for the Arts is a 22,000-square-foot venue that will be a cultural landmark in the heart of central Gainesville. Designed by renowned architect James Blythe (BXP Architects) and brought to life by Scherer Construction, the space will feature:
- A premier Dance & Music Academy
- Community outreach programs
- A vibrant art gallery
- A state-of-the-art Black Box Theatre for performances and rentals
- Serene, beautifully landscaped grounds
Dancers, donors, architects, builders, students, bankers, board of directors, and friends of art, music, theatre, and dance – every member of the community is welcome!
