GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Dance Alive National Ballet invites the community to join them as they break ground on their new Khoury Family Center for the Arts on August 28 at 3939 NW 34th Street.

It has long been a dream that Dance Alive National Ballet would have a home, a venue that would serve the arts in this amazing community.
On August 28, DANB will celebrate the ground-breaking of the Khoury Family Center for the Arts, a 22,000-square-foot venue that will be a cultural landmark in the heart of Central Gainesville. Designed by renowned architect James Blythe (BXP Architects) and brought to life by Scherer Construction, the space will feature:
- A premier Dance & Music Academy
- Community outreach programs
- A vibrant art gallery
- A state-of-the-art Black Box Theatre for performances and rentals
- Serene, beautifully landscaped grounds
IT IS THE PERFECT OPENING TO DANB’S 60TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON!
Kim Tuttle, Artistic Director of DANB, stated, “Celebrating our Diamond Jubilee of 60 years in the community with the groundbreaking of our new home, the Khoury Family Center for the Arts, is a truly historic moment for the arts in Gainesville.
“Combined with celebrating the 200th anniversary of Alachua County, it is even more breathtaking that the community has given their wholehearted support for this.
“We are truly grateful and humbled by this and will continue to provide the quality of instruction and performance that we are known for, to the best of our ability.“
