Dance Alive National Ballet welcomes new dancers

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – DANB Artistic Director Kim Tuttle recently announced that Luana Gali, Vlada-Nikol Demchenko, Hernan Montenegro, and Fernando Mendonca will be joining Dance Alive National Ballet for the 26-27 season.
Luana Gali is a Brazilian dancer who has won numerous awards while studying Vaganova technique at the Bolshoi Theatre School in Brazil. She has danced leads in many of the world’s great ballets and was a member of the Dalal Achcar Ballet Company in Rio de Janeiro.
Vlada-Nikol Demchenko is a Ukrainian dancer who received her training at the International Ballet Academy in Russia and Cuban ballet technique at the Conservatory of Ballet and Dance. She has also danced major roles and has toured in China, Ukraine, Poland, Mexico, the Netherlands, Belgium, and throughout Latin America.
Hernan Montenegro is from Chile and is another award-winner! He has danced principal roles with numerous companies, including Arts Ballet Theatre, American Repertory Ballet, Ballet Five Tokyo, Royal Ukrainian Ballet, and Hong Kong Ballet, before returning to Ballet De Santiago for several programs.
Fernando Mendonca is from Brazil, where he performed as principal dancer with Dalal Achcar Ballet Company and performed at the Fonteyn International Festival and the FIDA festival in Belem do Para.
Dance Alive is delighted to add these dancers to the roster. Audiences can meet the entire Company at the Cade Museum on September 25th at MEET THE DANCERS.
