DEA Drug Take Back Day to be held Saturday, April 22

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – Sheriff Clovis Watson Jr. and the men and women of the Sheriff’s Office will once again be participating in the DEA Drug Take Back Day. The event will take place on Saturday, April 22, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. You can drop off unused/unwanted medication at the Newberry Fire Station (310 NW 250th Street, Newberry) or Trinity United Methodist Church (4000 NW 53rd Avenue, Gainesville). Safely dropping off your unused or expired medications (pet medicine too) can help the planet, protect the water supply, and prevent prescription drug misuse in the community.
