Press release from Deeper Purpose Community Church

Deeper Purpose Community Church is sponsoring and hosting Alachua County’s 1st Annual Back the Blue Festival this Saturday, March 12, from 1 – 4 p.m. at the High Springs Civic Center Field, 19107 NW 240th Street, High Springs. This will be North Central Florida’s largest area festival, welcoming families from all over to come out and show their support of our area’s law enforcement. There will be music, multiple bounce houses and inflatables, hay rides, two train rides, pony rides, face painting, games, giveaways, and photos by Magnolia Lane Studios.

There will be many vendors selling various items, as well as several delicious food trucks at the event. The High Springs Police Department, UF Police Department, Alachua Police Department, Santa Fe College Police Department, FL Department of Corrections, Gainesville Police Department, and the Florida Highway Patrol will all be bringing out tents, booths, vehicles, and personnel, as well as the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office bringing out their Aviation Unit, Motor Unit, SWAT Unit, and more.

Everything is free for families to enjoy. Everyone not in uniform is asked to wear blue. For questions or vendor opportunities, contact 352-474-9040 or deeperpurposecc@yahoo.com. This event will be held annually in different towns and cities in the county each year.
