DeSantis closes gyms, limits restaurants to take-out and delivery

Governor DeSantis today issued Executive Order 20-71, ordering all restaurants and food establishments to suspend on-premises food consumption for customers. Restaurants may still provide delivery and take-out. The order is effective immediately.

Gyms and fitness centers are ordered to be closed, with minor exceptions.

The order prohibits on-premises alcohol consumption, but it suspends laws that prohibit some take-out alcohol sales. Alcoholic beverages in sealed containers may be sold for take-out if they are accompanied by the sale of food in the same order
