Disagreement leads to serious crash on SW 62nd Blvd

On Tuesday, April 21, at approximately 8:00 p.m., GPD units responded to a report of a vehicle crash with serious injury at the entrance to Cabana Beach Apartments, 1600 SW 52nd St.

A preliminary investigation revealed that two men had some type of disagreement. As one man tried to leave the complex in a vehicle, the other man attempted to get into the driver’s side of the vehicle. The driver sped off while the other man hung onto the vehicle while being dragged.

As the vehicle exited the complex, the driver crossed into the oncoming lane and struck a second vehicle head on. The man who had been dragged was seriously injured, and the other involved individuals received non-life-threatening injuries. All were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

The involved individuals were uncooperative, and this investigation is on-going.
