Discover 200 – A Bicentennial Line-up

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The year 2025 is a historic milestone for Alachua County, as it marks the 200th anniversary of its founding.
To celebrate the importance, the County is hosting “Discover 200 – A Bicentennial Celebration” at 1 p.m. at Depot Park and Heartwood Soundstage. This free, day-long celebration will feature nationally recognized and local musicians, food trucks, and family-friendly activities for all ages. Various County departments and local organizations will also be on-site to share information about the local services and jobs available to residents.
Our latest feature story highlights each of the performers who will play throughout the day, including Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Chuck Ragan, Little Jake and the Soul Searchers, Cliff Dorsey, and many more.

Arrive Early for Closer Parking
Downtown Gainesville has plenty of parking options, and the earlier you arrive, the better your spot!
City of Gainesville parking is free on Saturdays
Enjoy free on-street parking, surface lots, and metered spaces (except the City’s SW Downtown Garage).
There are many City, County, and State government parking lots available on Saturdays in central downtown (in the vicinity of University Avenue and Main Street) that are a short walk to Depot Park/Heartwood.
