Down to Dance presents 9-week inclusive dance program for all ages
Press release from Down to Dance
GAINESVILLE, Fla.- Down to Dance is a UF student organization that holds free weekly in-person dance workshops for individuals of any age and with any disability. Our choreography uses Arts in Medicine research to help improve cognitive functions and motor skills and promote social inclusivity in the community. We have Dance in Medicine certified choreographers who lead a 9-week series where dancers learn moves to three songs and have the opportunity to perform in an end-of-semester recital! No prior dance experience is required.
Our spring series starts on January 25, and workshops will be held on Sundays from 3-4 p.m. at the University of Florida (exact room TBD). Our theme for our spring series is The Wild West!
