Down to Dance summer series begins on June 7

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Down to Dance is a UF student organization that holds free weekly in-person dance workshops for individuals of any age with Down syndrome or other intellectual disabilities. Our choreography uses Arts in Medicine research to help improve cognitive functions, motor skills, and social inclusivity in the community. We have Dance in Medicine certified choreographers who lead a 6-week series where dancers learn moves to songs and have the opportunity to perform in an end-of-semester recital. No prior dance experience is required.
Our summer series starts on June 7, and workshops will be held on Sundays from 3–4 p.m. at the Student Recreation Center at the University of Florida. Our theme for this summer series is Poolside Theme. This is the sign-up form for participants:
