Driver killed, passenger critically injured in Parker Rd crash

According to a release from Florida Highway Patrol, a 61-year-old Bronson man was killed and a 63-year-old Bronson woman critically injured in a crash at 2:45 p.m. yesterday on Parker Road (SW 122nd St).

The Bronson residents were traveling west on SW 24th Avenue in an SUV and came to a stop at the intersection with SW 122nd St. A 50-year-old Gainesville man driving a tractor-trailer was traveling north on Parker Road, approaching the intersection with SW 24th Ave. The driver of the SUV made a left turn in front of the tractor-trailer, and the front of the tractor-trailer hit the left side of the SUV. Both of the injured were wearing seatbelts.
