Event Tickets Center launches philanthropic community outreach program

Press release from Event Tickets Center

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Event Tickets Center launched its new community outreach program, ETCares, earlier this year, supporting local organizations and delivering lifelong memories to those who deserve it most.

Empowering Women Veterans and Severe Trauma Survivors

Most recently, Event Tickets Center, often referred to as ETC, partnered with the Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund in recognition of Women Veterans Day, observed annually in the U.S. on June 12, sending a group of women veterans to a concert of their choice.

The group, arranged by Sergeant Stephanie Petersen, included seven women veterans and severe trauma survivors, with several wars, battles, and tours completed among them. The event they chose? An Alicia Keys concert in honor of the singer’s recent efforts in the women’s empowerment movement.

Changing Lives Through Puppy Parties and Cancer Camps

This past Spring, ETC partnered with Gainesville, FL-based pet rescue Faithful Friends, hosting an in-office Puppy Party, socializing puppies that would have otherwise been unfit for adoption and preparing them for success outside of the shelter while also serving as a mental health boost for ETC staff.

The team also traveled to Ruskin, FL to volunteer with Faces of Courage at their annual Women of Color Cancer Camp. According to the organization, it is the only camp of its kind in the U.S.

Delivering Christmas to Domestic Violence Victims

ETC officially unveiled ETCares in December 2022, collecting donations of household goods and Christmas gifts for a family seeking assistance through Another Way, Inc., an Alachua-based crisis center serving victims of domestic violence.

Ordinary People, Extraordinary Things

The company has made great strides since that initial donation, expanding its efforts to encompass hands-on volunteer opportunities and adding a unique twist of its own by donating event tickets to once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

“Oftentimes, the people and families seeking assistance through these organizations are looking for a night of normalcy, and we’re honored to be able to give that to them,” says Candice Ouellette, Community Outreach Coordinator at ETC. “ETC connects thousands of people with the tickets they need to create lasting memories every day, so we understand just how incredible experiencing a live event can be. To us, it’s not only an honor but a responsibility to give back and deliver smiles to as many faces as possible. There’s an unrivaled magic in being part of something live that everyone deserves to feel firsthand.”
