Explore Florida Heritage Crops at this Year’s Crops and Colors Festival

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Discover the rich culture and history of Florida heritage crops at this year’s Crops and Colors Festival! 

Come shop and learn on Saturday, Dec. 2, from noon to 4 p.m. at Grow Hub, 2900 NE 8th Ave.

Presented by the Florida Heritage Foods Initiative at Santa Fe College, the festival offers something for everyone. Learn how to grow and cook nutritionally dense, locally-grown crops. Discover new recipes and cooking techniques. Buy crops grown by local farmers. Join UF IFAS extension agents to learn tips on how to grow these crops in your own backyard or farm.

The Florida Heritage Foods Initiative at Santa Fe College aims to link local food to local culture via public education about heritage foods and events like the Crops and Colors Festival.
