ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – FDOT has announced the following road and lane closures for the weeks of Dec. 20, 2025-Jan. 2, 2026:

• State Road 26 at Hatchet Creek (Bridge #260033) (207761-2-52-01) (29.687911075105053, -82.20639086034188). Daytime lane closures Monday, Dec. 22, and Tuesday, Dec. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for bridge construction.
• U.S. 301 from Southeast Hawthorne Road/Northeast Sixth Avenue(State Road 20) to State Road 26 (207794-3-52-01) (29.66084954331791, -82.11544130628292). Daytime lane closures Monday, Dec. 22, and Tuesday, Dec. 23,from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for road work.
• West Newberry Road (State Road 26) from Southwest 260th Street to 252nd Street (29.646126405195147, -82.61274118967508). Nighttime road closure Saturday, Dec. 20, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for a permitted event. Law enforcement will assist with traffic management.
• West University Avenue (State Road 26) from Northwest 13th Street to Northwest Eighth Street (29.652091508247537, -82.33531693051921). Daytime lane closures Monday, Dec. 22, through Wednesday, Dec. 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for median work.
