Fire at Faith Presbyterian moves voting to another building but no other changes
Press release from Alachua County Supervisor of Elections
A Sunday evening fire at Faith Presbyterian Church is forcing the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections to move voting to another building on the church’s campus, which is located in Gainesville at 5916 NW 39th Ave.
Faith Presbyterian Church serves as the Election Day polling place for voters in Alachua County’s Precinct 51 and serves about 3,000 voters.
Voting equipment that was to be used at the site on Election Day was affected by the fire and will be replaced.
Election Day voting and procedures will be unaffected by the building change.
On Election Day, voters must vote at the polling place to which they are assigned. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
