Floridiana Festival to be held May 10

Press release from the Matheson History Museum
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Matheson History Museum’s annual Floridiana Show is expanding! This year, and moving forward, we are hosting a Floridiana Festival. The Floridiana Marketplace vendors will be set up inside the Main Museum Building as usual, but outside in Sweetwater Park behind the Museum there will be live music, food trucks, historical demonstrations, and community organizations.
The festival will be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 10 (the Marketplace will be available to museum members only from 10-11 a.m.) at the museum (513 E. University Avenue) and Sweetwater Park.
Come to the Matheson to snag your own piece of Florida kitsch and vintage Florida, enjoy live music from local band Patchwork (noon-3 p.m.), learn about Alachua County history, and meet some of the incredible organizations working in our community.
Matheson Members have the opportunity to shop first! Only Members will be admitted to the Floridiana Marketplace between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Starting at 11 a.m., the general public is welcome to start their shopping. The festivities in the park will be open to everyone at 10 a.m.
This event is sponsored in part by Visit Gainesville/Alachua County, FL and The City of Gainesville.
