Free May 25 webinar will address mental health of first responders
Press release from Advanced Recovery Systems
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and it is important that we do our part to advocate for the mental health needs of first responders by continuing to provide education specific to the unique challenges faced by the men and women of this profession. Molly Jones, LSW and Clinical Outreach Coordinator at Advanced Recovery Systems, will focus on the common behavioral health challenges faced by members of the fire service and other public safety occupations, give tips on navigating behavioral healthcare systems, and identify helpful resources throughout North America focused on helping first responders improve their mental well-being. This webinar is intended for first responders, providers working with first responders, and first responder families interested in increasing their knowledge related to signs and symptoms of common mental health challenges, how to address these challenges, and familiarize themselves with the resources in place to address these needs.
