Free Mobile Health Care Clinic Thursdays at GTEC canceled

Press release from City of Gainesville

Update: The University of Florida Mobile Outreach Clinic at GTEC on May 27 has been canceled due to mechanical issues and will not resume until further notice.

The University of Florida College of Medicine’s Mobile Outreach Clinic will be stationed at Gainesville Technology Entrepreneurship Center (GTEC) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today and every Thursday through June 24, 2021. The clinic offers free primary care medical services and will provide COVID-19 vaccinations on a first-come, first-served basis.

Creating an equitable community through access to quality healthcare is a keystone of the City of Gainesville’s strategic plan. The City’s Community Reinvestment Area is acting as liaison to support this initiative.

The UF Mobile Clinic program is committed to health care advocacy and believes in health care as a catalyst for reinvesting in our community.

The Mobile Outreach Clinic kicked off this collaboration with the City of Gainesville May 6 by offering COVID-19 vaccinations at GTEC. This ongoing effort will help define health-related actions and areas of focus in East Gainesville.

GTEC is located on the Cornerstone Campus at 2153 SE Hawthorne Road in Gainesville. For more information, call (352) 273-5329.
