Gainesville Chapter of The Links announces newly elected officers

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gainesville (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, is excited to announce the newly elected officers for the 2025–2027 term. These remarkable women bring a wealth of experience, dedication, and vision to lead the chapter into another impactful year of service and sisterhood.
The new leadership team was officially installed on May 18th, following the Chapter’s 40th Anniversary Celebration at Hotel Indigo, Celebration Pointe. The officers are as follows:
- President: Mrs. Alena Lawson Bennett
- Vice President: Mrs. Venisha White-Buchanon
- Recording Secretary: Ms. Romona Jackson
- Corresponding Secretary: Dr. Morgan Cobran
- Treasurer: Ms. Fredna Wilkerson
- Financial Secretary: Ms. Andranique Boone
- Chaplain: Mrs. Kim Davis Barton
We are confident that under their leadership, the Gainesville (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, will continue to grow in service and impact. The theme for the year is Real Impact, Real Friends, Boots on the Ground for our Community. Plans for the upcoming year include expanded outreach programs, youth mentoring and leadership development, enhanced community partnerships, chapter fundraiser, and continued advocacy for the issues that matter most to the communities we serve.
The Links Incorporated, founded in 1946, is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the cultural and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.
