GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Brie Komanski, a 10-year-old gymnast from Gainesville, has made history by earning a perfect 10.0 score on the uneven bars at the USAG Florida State Gymnastics Meet held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, in Miami. This incredible achievement places her at the top of the rankings for uneven bars in the United States, solidifying her as one of the nation’s most talented young gymnasts.

In addition to her perfect 10 and #1 ranking on the uneven bars in the United States, Brie is currently ranked as the #2 gymnast in Florida in multiple events, including Beam, Floor, and All-Around, and holds the #3 spot in the state on Vault. Her remarkable consistency and skill across all events have made her a standout performer at the state and national levels.

Beyond gymnastics, Brie excels as a student-athlete. She attends The Rock School in Gainesville and is enrolled in the rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Her dedication to academics and athletics has made her a role model for young athletes everywhere.

“I’m incredibly proud of Brie for her remarkable progress and all she has achieved so far. Her work ethic, passion, and relentless pursuit of perfection make her a joy to coach” said Sun Country Gymnastics Coach Peter Emery. “This perfect 10 is just the beginning of what I’m sure will be a very bright future in the sport.”

As she continues to break records and achieve new milestones, Brie is one of the youngest gymnasts to be recognized at the national and state levels, and her journey is just beginning.

This coming week, Brie will be performing with Dance Alive National Ballet as part of their statewide Nutcracker tour, further showcasing her versatility and commitment to excellence.

“Brie is an outstanding student in ballet and is the youngest child in the ‘party scene’ of ‘The Nutcracker’ due to her exceptional talent. There is no doubt she will excel in dance and gymnastics, making all of us here at Pofahl Studios and Dance Alive proud of her, her talent, and her beautiful personality,” said Director Kim Pofahl Tuttle.
