Gainesville Harmony Show Chorus will “Play Music on the Porch” at Cracker Barrel on August 31

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Play Music On The Porch Day started in 2014 as an idea: What if for one day everything stopped and we all just listened to the music? In two short years, it grew into a worldwide event.

In 2018, thousands of musicians around the world took to their porches and shared their music with others, and now musicians in 70+ countries and 1000+ cities worldwide participate.

Gainesville Harmony Show Chorus will be joining in the fun this Saturday, starting at 3:00 p.m., on the Gainesville Cracker Barrel porch (4001 SW 43rd Street). Gainesville Harmony Show Chorus has been part of the Gainesville community for over 50 years. They sing a variety of musical styles, including show tunes, pop, country, gospel, and of course the traditional barbershop tunes. 

They enjoy singing at various events throughout the year and at monthly Naturalization Ceremonies at the downtown federal courthouse to welcome the newest citizens of the USA. Come to this free performance to listen and celebrate this special day of sharing music with the world.
