Gainesville man dead following June 19 crash

Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) announced today that a 47-year-old Gainesville man has died following a single-vehicle crash that happened about 8:13 p.m. on June 19. FHP is no longer providing the names of accident fatalities.

The man was driving a Dodge Grand Caravan northbound on County Road 225 near NE 90th Place when, for reasons still under investigation, the van drove off the west shoulder. The van overturned and came to rest upright. The driver was transported to Shands in Gainesville and was pronounced deceased today.
