Gainesville Preserve rezoning request hearing tentatively set for October

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – The applicant for the Gainesville Preserve rezoning request (on property contiguous to Paynes Prairie State Preserve) has requested a deferral of the public hearing before the Alachua County Planning Commission, originally scheduled for Sept. 10, 2025.

A new hearing date of Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, has been tentatively scheduled.

Interested citizens are encouraged to check the County website for the meeting status in the first week of October.
