Gainesville woman killed in Marion County crash

A 33-year-old Gainesville woman was killed in a single-vehicle accident Friday morning on SE 44th Ave Rd in Marion County.

At 9:47 a.m. on October 22, the woman was driving an SUV south on SE 44th Avenue Rd at a “a high rate of speed” when the road curved to the right near SE 46th Street. The vehicle drifted to the left and off the east shoulder of the road, where it went through a wire fence and hit a large tree. The vehicle caught fire, and the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
