Gainesville woman killed in single-car accident on SR24

A 46-year-old woman was pronounced deceased at the scene of an accident on State Road 24 south of Waldo at 2:30 a.m. on November 29.

According to a release from Florida Highway Patrol, a tan Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling east on SR 24, traveled off the south shoulder of the roadway, and overturned several times before coming to a stop in a concrete culvert/ditch. The driver, a 46-year-old Gainesville woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The accident is still under investigation.
