GARS to hold Amateur Radio Winter Field Day 2025 on Jan. 25 & 26

WALDO, Fla. – Everyone who is interested in learning about Amateur (Ham) Radio, including kids, can come to Winter Field Day, visit the Gainesville Amateur Radio Society (GARS), and get on the radio to talk with others all across the country, as well as across Alachua County. Participants can talk, try Morse code, and see who can “hear” you.

Who is welcome: ANYONE interested in Amateur Radio
Location: GARS Radio Room, Waldo City Square (14450 NE 148th Avenue, Waldo, Florida)
Date/Time: Saturday, Jan. 25, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, Jan. 26, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Activities: Communicating on air using voice and morse code
