The University of Florida has parted ways with Dan Mullen after four seasons

The University of Florida has parted ways with football head coach Dan Mullen, Athletics Director Scott Stricklin announced Sunday.
Special-teams coordinator/running backs coach Greg Knox will serve as interim coach for the FSU game Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
A veteran of 20-plus seasons in the Southeastern Conference, including four at Florida, Knox has previously also served as interim coach at Mississippi State in 2017, leading the Bulldogs to a 31-27 win over Louisville in the TaxSlayer Bowl.
Mullen finished with a 34-15 record at UF after four seasons at the helm.
During his tenure at Florida, Mullen won 21 SEC games and led the Gators to three New Year Six Bowls and the SEC Championship Game in 2020.
The Gators are 5-6 (2-6 SEC) in 2021.
