GFR extinguishes residential fire

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – According to a social media post from Gainesville Fire Rescue, crews responded today to a residential building fire at 1521 NW 35th Terrace.
The first arriving crews found flames coming from the first and second floors at the back of the building. Crews quickly extinguished the fire.
Incident Commander Jeff Schumacher said the fire traveled vertically in the walls, making it more difficult to extinguish. No injuries were reported in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
