GHS senior signs with the Jacksonville Avengers Women’s Tackle Football Team

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Brooke Zeller, a Gainesville High School senior from Alachua, officially signed with the Jacksonville Avengers Women’s Tackle Football Team at Crispy’s Restaurant in Jacksonville. The signing event was standing room only, packed with teammates, family, supporters, and members of the media, all there to celebrate this milestone.
A talented multi-sport athlete, Zeller has excelled throughout high school and is now taking the next step into competitive women’s tackle football. Her signing highlights her dedication, skill, and competitive spirit.
“As I was growing up, it was powerful to see women playing tackle football, and now I want to inspire other girls who want to play to chase their dreams and believe in themselves,” Zeller said.
Head Coach Damien Grimes praised her versatility and drive: “Brooke is a standout athlete. Her talent, energy, and determination will be an asset to our team. We’re thrilled to have her join the Avengers.”
