Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has issued Executive Order 20-91, ordering Floridians to “limit their movements and personal interactions outside of their home to only those necessary to obtain or provide essential services or conduct essential activities.” The order expires on April 30.
As far as we can tell, this doesn’t affect anything in Alachua County. The order says, “This Order shall supersede any conflicting action or order issued by local officials in response to COVID-19 but only to the extent that such action or order allows essential services or essential activities prohibited by this Executive Order.”
The order goes into effect at midnight tomorrow.
