Yesterday Governor Ron DeSantis signed HB 751: City of Gainesville, Alachua County, sponsored by Rep. Chuck Clemons. The bill, effective immediately, authorizes issuance of a special license to food trucks to sell alcoholic beverages in the food truck park in Innovation Square.

The bill says a special license “shall be issued to a mobile food dispensing vehicle in a food truck park,” as defined in the City of Gainesville’s ordinances, if the food truck is located in Innovation Square, and that the beverages may be consumed by patrons within the food truck park. The license does not permit food trucks to sell alcoholic beverages by the package for consumption outside the food truck park. There is no limit on the number of licenses issued to a food truck operator within a food truck park within Innovation Square.
