GPD, ACSO, ATF identify and arrest robbery suspect

On January 8, 2021, the Gainesville Police Department (GPD) and the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO), in cooperation with agents from ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives), arrested James Clark II (DOB: 01/29/99) for robbery and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Clark was taken into custody by ACSO deputies at the Eastwood Apartments (925 SE 43rd Street) shortly after 1:00 p.m. Clark was arrested on a warrant obtained by GPD detectives in connection with the spree of robberies that occurred in the City of Gainesville and Alachua County between December 14, 2020 and January 4, 2021.
This is an ongoing investigation between GPD, ACSO, and ATF.
